Directed and written by Andrew Niccol, writer of The Truman Show and director of Lord of War, In Time depicts a world in which humans stop aging at 25. After reaching 25, mankind only has one more year to live, unless they can earn more time – exchanging and earning time as currency.
Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried star as Will Salas and Sylvia Weis: Will, after a chance encounter with a wealthy man who possess over a century of time, finds time bestowed upon him. Through this, Will finds himself accused of the man’s murder, and in order to avoid capture, takes Sylvia as a hostage.
With a quality cast, including Mad Men’s Vincent Kartheiser and Cillian Murphy, In Time looks exciting and engaging. Timberlake was wonderful in The Social Network and Seyfried is consistently on form. I am genuinely looking forward to this film’s release, I can only hope it delivers on its promises.
