The Woman in Black – Trailer

It is surely fair to say that without the success of the Harry Potter films, Daniel Radcliffe is unlikely to have been cast in The Woman in Black. His acting seems to have developed little during the span of his acting career, struggling to truly emote without depicting over-wrought emotions; I thus have little confidence in his ability to carry the film as the leading man.

Produced by Hammer Films (who have experienced something of a renaissance of late with the success of Let Me In), and written by the talented Jane Goldman, The Woman in Black seems promising, if only Radcliffe can finally prove his ability to act without the aid of a hugely successful franchise to hide behind.
